Morgan grew up in a pastor's home and was saved at the age of thirteen. He attended college in Hot Springs, Arkansas where he received his B.S. in Pastoral Theology and received his masters degree from The Masters University in Santa Clarita, CA. He and his wife, Mandy, met during their college years and were married in 2007. Today, they have four children: Addelyn, Andrew, Annabelle, and Asa.
David was called to minister to youth while still in high school. He received a B.S. in Youth Ministry and a masters degree in Apologetics from Liberty University. He met his wife Pauline in Orlando, and they were married in 2015. They have three children: Eddie, JJ, and Genevieve. Their family loves to be outside. In their free time you may catch them running a 5K, kayaking, or working on the farm.
FAMILY & DISCIPLESHIP PASTOR
Being raised in the church, John likes to say that he was saved at the age of seven, but that his relationship with Christ didn't really start until he was in his early twenties. Before being called to FBC Tavares, John served in churches around East Tennessee. He received his B.S. from Liberty University as well as an M.A. and will be completing a M.A. in Religion in 2022! In addition to acting as associate pastor, John also serves as an adjunct professor for his alma mater. He and his wife Courtney share 8 kiddos together! His life verse is John 3:30, "He must increase, but I must decrease."
Charlene is a born again believer who loves the Lord, His Word, and His people! She delights in being the mother of three wonderful children and seven grandchildren. In the past she was a math instructor, taught in a juvenile jail, managed a crisis pregnancy center and also served as a Bible counselor, WOL leader and coordinator for youth and adult ministries for over twenty years before relocating to Florida in 2013. She is the Director of Women's Ministries at the church and a Bible teacher who loves sharing the practical, life-changing truths of God's Word whenever He opens the opportunity. She counts it a privilege to serve the Lord.
At the young age of 7, Cindy was saved. Her grandfather was a Southern Baptist preacher and baptized her just before his passing in 1971. Throughout her childhood, she helped her Mom in Sunday school and Children's church. Over the past decade, she has been blessed to teach the Bible to children in a variety of ministries. Cindy and her husband, Jeff, joined FBC Tavares in 2016. She is delighted to follow God's calling on her life in Children's Ministry while holding onto Philippians 4:13!
Mandy is the wife of Pastor Morgan and a homeschooling mother to their four children: Addelyn, Drew, Annabelle, and Asa. She holds a B.S. in Education and enjoys teaching the AWANA Sparks and serving in women's ministry events. Throughout the week, she offers private piano lessons. She loves to travel and likes helping others plan their trips as well through her training as a travel agent. One of her favorite Scripture passages is Romans 8.
